AFTRSS respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information AFTRSS collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you when you use AFTRSS.

By using AFTRSS, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use an AFTRSS account, we may collect information such as:

• Email address
• Username
• Display name
• User ID
• Authentication provider, such as Google or email/password
• Account creation and sign-in information

Passwords for email/password accounts are handled through our authentication provider and are not stored by AFTRSS in readable form.

Profile Information

If you choose to create or customize a profile, we may store your display name, username, bio, profile picture, and profile preferences or selections. Some profile information is visible to other AFTRSS users as part of AFTRSS's social features.

Anime Library and Ranking Information

AFTRSS stores information you provide while using the service, including anime added to your Library, ratings, Current Rankings, Saved Rankings, ranking positions, My Vibe selections, and related timestamps and updates. This allows your Library, Rankings, and Profile to remain available across supported devices when you are signed in.

Social Activity

When you use AFTRSS's social features, we may store friend requests and friendships, recommendations sent to or received from other users, recommendation status, notifications, profiles you visit, users you compare rankings with, and the frequency and timing of certain comparison activity.

AFTRSS may also generate statistics from your activity, such as anime watched, average rating, favorite genres, top genres, and 5-star ratings.

Device and Technical Information

Our infrastructure and authentication providers may automatically process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, including IP address, browser or device user agent, session information, sign-in timestamps, and authentication or security events.

Information Stored on Your Device

AFTRSS uses browser storage, including local storage, to maintain application state and improve the experience. This may include locally stored copies of your Library, Rankings, Profile information, interface state, and other application data. For signed-in users, certain information may also be synchronized with our cloud database.

2. How We Use Information

We use information collected through AFTRSS to provide and operate the service; create and authenticate accounts; synchronize your Library, Rankings, and Profile across devices; provide social features; maintain saved Rankings and preferences; generate profile statistics; deliver application notifications; maintain reliability and security; diagnose technical problems; understand how features are used; and improve AFTRSS.

3. Analytics and Advertising

AFTRSS does not currently use third-party advertising networks or dedicated third-party behavioral analytics services such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

AFTRSS does collect limited first-party usage information, including certain profile visits and comparison activity, to operate, understand, secure, and improve AFTRSS.

AFTRSS does not currently sell advertising or use your AFTRSS activity to build advertising profiles. If our advertising or analytics practices materially change, this Privacy Policy will be updated.

4. Third-Party Services

AFTRSS relies on third-party services to provide parts of the service. These may include:

Supabase. Used for database storage, account authentication, cloud synchronization, profile image storage, and related backend infrastructure.

Google. Users may choose to authenticate using Google Sign-In. Google may process information according to Google's own privacy policies when you use this option.

AniList. Used as a source of anime catalog and discovery information.

TVmaze. May be used as an additional source of title and catalog information.

Resend. May be used to deliver transactional account emails, such as account confirmation or authentication-related messages.

These services may process limited information necessary to provide their respective functions and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Information Other Users Can See

AFTRSS includes social features. Depending on the feature, other AFTRSS users may be able to see your username, display name, profile picture, bio, public profile statistics, My Vibe selections, Rankings, and other information intentionally presented through your public AFTRSS profile or social features.

Your email address and password are not intended to be displayed publicly through your AFTRSS profile. Be mindful of information you choose to include in publicly visible areas.

6. How We Share Information

AFTRSS does not sell your personal information. We may share or allow information to be processed by service providers when necessary to operate AFTRSS, such as authentication, hosting, database, storage, and email providers.

Information may also be disclosed if reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, protect the security or integrity of AFTRSS, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights or safety of AFTRSS, its users, or others.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide AFTRSS, maintain accounts, operate social features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Some technical, security, backup, or transaction records may remain for a limited period after other account information is removed.

8. Your Choices and Data Requests

You may update certain account and profile information directly through AFTRSS. You may also contact us to request assistance regarding your personal information, including requests to access, correct, or delete information associated with your account.

Requests can be sent to support@aftrss.com. We may need to verify that you are the account owner before completing certain requests.

9. Account Deletion

If you would like to request deletion of your AFTRSS account and associated personal information, contact support@aftrss.com. Please include enough information for us to identify and verify the account associated with the request.

We may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or operational purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

AFTRSS is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. AFTRSS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to AFTRSS, please contact support@aftrss.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled through AFTRSS. AFTRSS uses third-party infrastructure and authentication services to help secure account and application data. However, no online service, storage system, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. International Processing

AFTRSS and its service providers may process or store information in locations different from the country or region where you live. As a result, your information may be subject to the laws of jurisdictions other than your own.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

AFTRSS may update this Privacy Policy as the service develops or our practices change. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
