Terms of Service

Welcome to AFTRSS. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AFTRSS, including its website, accounts, profiles, anime libraries, rankings, recommendations, social features, and related services.

By creating an account or using AFTRSS, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use AFTRSS.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an AFTRSS account or use account-based features.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use AFTRSS only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian where required.

If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we may suspend or delete the account and associated information.

2. Your Account

You may create an AFTRSS account using supported authentication methods, including email/password or Google Sign-In.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the security of your account, keeping your login credentials confidential, activity that occurs through your account, and notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not impersonate another person or create an account for fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive purposes.

AFTRSS usernames are subject to availability and may be changed or removed when reasonably necessary, including in cases of impersonation, abuse, trademark concerns, or violation of these Terms.

3. AFTRSS Features

AFTRSS allows users to discover anime and create and maintain personal anime-related information, including Libraries, ratings, Rankings, Saved Rankings, profile selections, and recommendations.

AFTRSS also includes social features that may allow users to create a public profile, find other users, add friends, view profiles, compare anime preferences and Rankings, send anime recommendations, receive notifications, and share certain profile, ranking, and anime-related information.

Features may change, be added, or be removed as AFTRSS develops.

4. Your Content

You may provide content to AFTRSS, such as usernames, display names, profile pictures, bios, ratings, Rankings, Saved Ranking names, profile selections, and other information submitted through AFTRSS features.

You retain ownership of content that you own.

By submitting content to AFTRSS, you give AFTRSS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, and improve AFTRSS.

This license ends when the content is deleted from AFTRSS, except where limited retention is reasonably necessary for backups, security, legal compliance, or other legitimate operational purposes.

You are responsible for content you submit and must have the necessary rights to submit it.

5. Public Profiles and Social Features

Certain information you provide may be visible to other AFTRSS users. This can include your username, display name, profile picture, bio, Rankings, My Vibe selections, anime-related statistics, and other information intentionally displayed through public or social AFTRSS features.

Do not include information in public portions of your profile that you do not want other users to see.

AFTRSS is not responsible for actions taken by other users with information you intentionally make available through public features.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use AFTRSS to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse another person
• Impersonate another person or organization
• Post unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious content
• Upload content that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account
• Attempt to bypass AFTRSS security or access controls
• Introduce malware, malicious code, or other harmful technology
• Scrape, crawl, or automate access to AFTRSS in a manner that disrupts the service or violates applicable restrictions
• Manipulate AFTRSS features or systems through fraudulent or abusive activity
• Interfere with the normal operation of AFTRSS
• Use AFTRSS for unlawful purposes

We may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable action to protect AFTRSS and its users.

7. Anime Information and Third-Party Content

AFTRSS may display anime titles, images, genres, metadata, and other information obtained from or associated with third-party services and data sources, including services such as AniList and TVmaze.

AFTRSS does not claim ownership of third-party anime artwork, titles, trademarks, or other intellectual property belonging to their respective owners.

Third-party information may occasionally be incomplete, unavailable, outdated, or inaccurate. Use of third-party services may also be subject to their respective terms and policies.

8. AFTRSS Intellectual Property

AFTRSS's original software, branding, interface, design elements, logos, and other original materials are owned by AFTRSS or its applicable licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of AFTRSS or its technology. You may use AFTRSS for its intended purposes subject to these Terms.

9. Service Availability and Changes

AFTRSS may update, modify, add, or remove features as the service develops.

We may also perform maintenance or temporarily limit access to portions of the service.

While we aim to keep AFTRSS available and reliable, we do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to AFTRSS when reasonably necessary, including when we believe an account violates these Terms, creates a security risk, is being used fraudulently, harasses or harms other users, attempts to interfere with AFTRSS, creates legal or regulatory risk, or is operated by someone who does not meet the minimum age requirement.

Where appropriate, we may attempt to provide notice before taking action, but we are not required to do so where immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, safety, legal, or abuse-prevention purposes.

11. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your AFTRSS account by contacting support@aftrss.com.

We may need to verify ownership of the account before processing a deletion request.

Deletion may remove or anonymize information associated with your account, subject to limited retention where reasonably necessary for security, backups, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate operational purposes.

12. Privacy

Your use of AFTRSS is also subject to the AFTRSS Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared.

13. Third-Party Services

AFTRSS depends on third-party services and infrastructure. These may include services for authentication, hosting, database and storage, email delivery, anime catalog information, and other technical infrastructure.

AFTRSS is not responsible for third-party services that are outside our reasonable control. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

14. Disclaimers

AFTRSS is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that AFTRSS will always be available, be free of bugs or errors, preserve every piece of user data indefinitely, meet every user's requirements, or provide completely accurate third-party anime information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AFTRSS and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of or inability to use AFTRSS.

This includes, where legally permitted, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, or damages resulting from service interruptions or third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses resulting from your unlawful use of AFTRSS, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit that violates another person's rights.

17. Changes to These Terms

AFTRSS may update these Terms as the service develops.

When we update them, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Your continued use of AFTRSS after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without limiting any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

As AFTRSS's formal business entity and principal place of business have not yet been established, we are intentionally not naming a specific state or jurisdiction in this version. If AFTRSS later forms a company or establishes a formal principal place of business, this section may be updated accordingly.
